An afternoon at The Wilmer Jennings Gallery at Kenkeleba

Presented exclusive access to the historic Wilmer Jennings Gallery at Kenkeleba for “Long Journey Forward: Black Men in Passage,” the works of 44 African-American photographers

Kenkeleba House was founded in 1974 to present, preserve, and encourage the development of art by descendants of the broader African Diaspora. The gallery exhibits works of African, Latino, Asian and Native American artists typically overlooked by the cultural mainstream. Kenkeleba began its work on The Bowery with experimental projects highlighting poetry, music, visual arts and theater. This year marks its 50th anniversary. Learn more here.
